"Stronghold Pond"
The same vantage point but a few months later in September 2010.
Sugarloaf Mountain and Stronghold are a treasure and places I have been coming to for nearly my entire life. This image was made in early September 2010 just as the sun was rising over the trees behind me. A flight of Canada Geese glided in just over my head and their wings slicing through the air is a magical sound. I missed that shot because it happened before I recognized what the sound was and once I was prepared, there were no more geese. Maybe next time.
