Scott in Iraq -- A Happy Day in July....

So, as the Army will do, it reassigned Scott to the 3rd Infantry at Ft. Stewart with a deployment to Iraq in the winter. They gave him 10 days leave to get from Benning to Stewart and he came home for a short visit. At dinner on Monday, Scott and Christy announced their engagement. Marti and I were so thrilled and we asked when they wanted to get married.... "This week" they said,"in four days actually". We pulled it off and everyone had a wonderful time and we have a daughter!
Over the next few weeks, Scott went to Stewart and Christy packed-up and they moved, the cat, the ferret and all their stuff... to Savannah.
At Ft. Stewart, Scott, now training as a Bradley gunner, is with two buddies, Duran and Swanner on their Bradley.
Sitting at the gunner's position in his Bradley.
Things aren't always hoppin in training, so this is how you sleep in position. Scott could always sleep anywhere.
In use, the gunsight is not visual its some sort of video display. The controls in his hands can spin the turret, raise and lower the gun and of course send many rounds of 25mm shells downrange quickly.
Lunch yet?
