"Riffles"
The negative was made with the Trashcan camera loaded with a piece of 20”x24” photo paper as film. The exposure was 18 minutes at F284 with a yellow filter. I digitally photographed this negative and used Photoshop to adjust tone and contrast as well as reduce the image size. When displayed as a positive the image is harsh so I prefer the soft contrast of the negative. Roll your mouse over the image to see the positive....
The photograph was made on Middle Creek in Frederick County Maryland on a late March day. The camera is positioned mid-stream on a rock with several rocks piled on top of the can to keep it steady.
Prints are signed and numbered by the artist.
